for Recovering a Corrupt
Quicken or MS Money File
Even though money is so important to us all, the programs that track it seem to be prone to frequent corruption, and perhaps MS Money even more than Quicken. Recent versions of MS Money come with 2 repair functions. For those occasions where they don't suffice, see below (especially the stepped procedures).
- Quicken & Money - good procedures. If you have to resort to it Quicken has a professional service for recovering files here. Another commercial service is here.
- Quicken & Money - really just a tool and not a too good one.
- MS Money Trial - the most recent version of Money might open your older version corrupt file.
- Steps for Money Corruption Recovery - there are some pretty exhaustive procedures here to try. Some steps involve commercial software.
- MS Money - Just two here. They might be useful. In Money 2006, there are two recovery tools built in.
- Other Financial File Repair - there's only one entry here, but in the future they'll hopefully be more.
